Sixth Form
Welcome to the Sixth Form of GDIS. If you are currently a Year 11 student this is a most important and exciting time as you will soon be completing your KS4 studies and making decisions on what to do next. Others of you may already have completed some post 16 studies and may be considering which courses you should follow to continue your Sixth Form studies, link. Whatever your situation may be there is a course of study here for you at George Dixon International School and Sixth Form Centre.
This school is a truly international school with students and staff representing over thirty different countries. In order to celebrate this fact and to best meet the needs of our students, GDIS is proud to offer courses of study leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma, a qualification recognised and respected throughout the world.
Alongside this course the school also runs a variety of BTEC courses at various levels so that students of all abilities may find a course in the Sixth Form to enable them to build on their achievements.
A course of study is also provided for students who are newly arrived to the country and posess little or no English.
